Who is L.C. Lane? My answer to that would be worship leader, humorist, performer, and now friend.
This guy has endeared himself to everyone who has ever been in any one of his concerts.”
—Bob Browning, The Village Church, Destin, Florida

L.C. grew up in Columbus, Georgia. He graduated from Columbus High School, Columbus State University and The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, Kentucky. He served part time in churches while in college and graduate school, working in the areas of student work and music ministry. For more than 23 years he was Minister of Music at the First Baptist Church of Newnan, Georgia, having a music enrollment of around 800 for the last 10 years.

L.C.’s concert work began while in college, singing wherever invited. He was heavily involved in the BSU (Baptist Student Union) where he served in several areas of leadership, including president at the Columbus State BSU, in 1971-72. He continued to partially work his way through school by singing and playing guitar. Since that time, he has presented over 3500 events throughout the United States, Europe, Canada, Africa, Asia, Central and South America. The majority of his work has been in the Southeastern United States, near his native state of Georgia.

In February of 2000, L.C. retired from his ministry position in Newnan to pursue his other calling of singing, playing and composing on a full-time basis. He has released five recordings, beginning with a 4-song, 45 rpm record in 1970. His first LP, There Comes a Time, was released in 1976. L.C. Lane, Solo Live was released in 1994 and was the result of a benefit concert in Newnan, Georgia to help a young man needing a bone marrow transplant. His fourth recording, Journey of Faith, was released in 2001 and much of the material from this work was the result of his first year in this new direction of ministry. The fall of 2004 brought his 5th recording to the public. Great Life features 9 original songs, plus three from other sources. His son, Andy Lane, joined L. C. for three duets on this last recording. We think you will find his music humorous, heart warming and dynamic. He continues to reside in Newnan, Georgia and is still a member of First Baptist Church.

The music and humor of L.C. Lane is in demand not only in churches, but in other areas of entertainment such as corporate events, fund raising concerts, banquets and many other arenas. Please look over his recommendations, listen to portions of some of his original music on this site, call or email him for more information.
